Marcelino reinvents the idea of the classic lonchería style restaurant. Their slogan is ‘honest cooking’. They use no processed ingredients, and they ensure that local commerce is supported by buying from local merchants, or producing things themselves. Every month there is a special guest in the kitchen, who collaborates on a special dish that you can taste throughout that month. However, there are dishes that have never left the menu, and we wouldn’t wish them to. What’s a must-try? The eggs known as ‘Huevos Marcelino’, tostadas de escamoles (ant-eggs, a pre-Hispanic delicacy, on toasted tortillas), back ceviche, and the beef tongue.
