As well as housing part of the oeuvre of Rufino Tamayo, the museum displays the most representative of international contemporary art, as well as its collection of modern and contemporary art. What’s more, it is a space for research, production and criticism of contemporary art. The works on display are not the only monumental element; the building is a genuine work of art by architects Teodoro González de León and Abraham Zabludovsky.
